'Vrije keuzeruimte' refers to the total number of ECTS credits that students can put towards electives of their own choosing. Together, 'vrije keuzeruimte' and 'gebonden keuzeruimte' make up the 'keuzeruimte' - the total number of ECTS that allow students a measure of choice.
